Cards are postcard size (A6) which is about 14.5 x 10.5 cm. The card weight is a thick 350gsm, and is FSC credited paper stock. They have a light satin coating on the outside, and the inside is left uncoated, which makes it easier for you to write your own message. Each card is individually scored, to give a clean fold.
The cards are blank inside for you own message, and they come complete with plain white envelopes.

What is a Gicleé Print?
Most of the work I sell is the original painting, a few have been made into Gicleé Prints, and are clearly labeled as such. A Gicleé Print is a printed copy of the original painting, done in permanent inks, onto watercolour paper. I have been extremely impressed with the quality of the print, and anyone would be hard pushed to tell the original from the copy, except with oils where you don’t get the raised texture of the oil paint. The translucency of watercolour paint for example, is achieved perfectly.
All my Gicleé Prints are done in limited print runs (normally only 30 prints from the original), and the total number of prints is indicated on the finished product.
Not surprisingly, Gicleé Print are cheaper than an original painting, and while lasting a life-time, probably won’t have the durability down the generations which an original painting can have.
Are your paintings framed?
Some of my paintings are already framed; if so, it is indicated on the product information.
Many oil paintings don’t need a frame. The canvas is stretched over wooden bars (stretchers), and so an oil painting is more of a solid object than a watercolour or drawing. The sides of my canvases are sometimes painted and are neat.
Unframed watercolours or drawings are supplied backed with card, and wrapped in a film bag, for protection.
I can arrange for framing of any of my work (including canvases).
Framing is carried out by a professional framer. I would generally recommend a frame of solid natural wood, such as oak, chosen to suit the colouring of the image, but it is really up to your personal preference.
You may choose one, two or three images to appear in the same frame (though do note the dimensions of each image).
Any discussion about framing can be made via the Contact Page.
Frames may be purchased here, additionally there is an option to buy frames on the Shopping Cart page.
