The first painting I did in the studio that I’d just refurbished! I was so pleased to have this leafy outlook, and wonderful flowers in our inherited spring garden! One of my favourite artists is Winifred Nicholson, her work, which brings the great outdoors inside to a more domestic scale, influenced the composition. In this work I love how these plants seem to blend with their free cousins who still grow outside!
