Description

I had such a lovely time, sitting and drawing here, sheltered by a vast rock from the forceful wind which is blowing the sea into foam. I’ve had fun painting the many hues I see in the amazing pink cliffs at the end of Berrys Beach, Phillip Island. The sea is a secondary presence in this view, but still powerful, I see and hear it crashing on the black rocks below.  There is a lot of detail in this view, but I have chosen to include highlights: here is an example of some of the detail you can see close-up to the picture – the fun exuberant drawing beneath the paint:

Pink Cliff, drawing detail

Pink Cliff. Framed Watercolour, on 100% cotton watercolour paper, side view.

Painted in watercolour, and drawing done with artist’s pencil, on quality watercolour paper, the image is 49.5 x 71.5cm. It is protected in a glazed, natural Tassie Oak frame, which measures 43 x 34cm at the outside edge, and is 2cm deep. All ready to hang.

Please note that this piece is glazed with standard picture glass. If possible, the safest way to deliver it to you is in person, so contact me to see if we can arrange this. If it is not possible, I will do everything I can to protect the glass in transit, but there is a chance it could crack and would have to be replaced. To give you some idea, this size piece of glass cost about AUD$40.
