Red Rocks, Fog Approaching

I’m enjoying another morning walk – and this time I was very glad to get out before the fog settled. 10 minutes after this, that fog on the horizon had rolled over me, and I could see just barely a metre in any direction – which was really fun – eerie, atmospheric, and very different to this scene. Even the sea was muffled. But here we have the clear fresh morning air, and that weather hanging – I didn’t know what it was going to do. There is a sense of calm, and waiting. Weather is fun though, it changes the scene; this walk that I have done so often, is, of course, different every time. I love it.

This is painted in watercolour, and drawn with quality artist’s pencil, on wood.  It is protected with a clear, matt, archival varnish. It is 35.8 x 28cm, x 2cm deep, the edges are painted white. It’s ready to hang.
